The property is in-keeping with the many clusters of other stone built cottages and cobbled squares. The River's Ure and Cover surround Middleham and the large ruins of Middleham castle which is only a few minutes walk away, offering unbeatable views of the town and surrounding countryside.
There are a number of eating places close by to the cottage, including a brassiere, Chinese restaurant and takeaway, fish and chip shop, and a selection of pub restaurants. The village has a well stocked store which is open 6am-8.30pm Monday-Saturday and 6am-4.30pm on Sundays.
The impressive 12th Century Middleham Castle was once home to King Richard III, and is now owned by the English Heritage. For further details regarding the castle please phone 01969 623899. There are many lovely walks from just the local area right out to the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
